Together We Can All

Make A Difference

CLUTCH / ABODE, INC. donates half a percent of the total commission – a minimum of $5,000 – from each transaction to established and vetted 501c3 nonprofit charitable organizations. The powerful, widely held mantra that “Together We Can All Make a Difference”, is at the heart of everything we do.

We have partnered with St. Joseph Center to provide working poor families, as well as homeless men, women, and children of all ages with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable, and self-supporting members of the community; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment; Hope For The Day, to strive to eliminate the highest risk factors of suicide through outreach, mental health education, and community action; and the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, to meet the needs of those living with food insecurity.

ST. JOSEPH’S CENTER

ST. JOSEPH’S CENTER

OUR MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

St. Joseph Center’s mission is to provide working poor families, as well as homeless men, women, and children of all ages with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable and self-supporting members of the community.

Recognizing the dignity that every person possesses is the cornerstone of St. Joseph Center’s approach. We work to advance social and economic equity through both the services we offer as well as our hiring practices. We are an inclusive, diverse force for change.

Staff and volunteers make every effort to provide a welcoming, safe place where all people are treated with compassion and respect.

OUR HERITAGE

St. Joseph Center was founded by two Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in a small storefront on Rose Avenue in 1976. From the beginning, the Center has served those in need without distinction and without precondition. Though we became a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1987, we retain an affiliation with the Sisters as a sponsored institution. Learn more about the Sisters and their work here.

From our roots in that Rose Avenue storefront in Venice, we have grown into a multifaceted social service organization offering Outreach & Engagement, Housing, Mental Health, and Education & Vocational programs at multiple sites across Los Angeles County. Today we reach more than 10,000 men, women, and children annually. Learn more about our history here.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

Hope for the Day

Hope for the Day

OUR MISSION

Hope For The Day® (H.F.T.D) is a non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education.

Suicide completion rates have surged to a 30-year high. Suicide has no prejudice, and each year more than 800,000 die in this silence. In the United States, over 48,180 people die by suicide every year, averaging 121 suicide completions each day.

Suicide is a preventable mental health crisis. The primary obstacle to suicide prevention is the silence of stigma. Stigmas are social and cultural factors that try to dictate how we express ourselves and compel individuals to be silent on their internal experiences. Too often, we do not discuss mental health or suicide until it directly impacts our community.

Proactive prevention is about creating an environment that doesn’t wait for someone to reach a point of crisis to address their mental health. In doing proactive prevention, individuals step up to take action and facilitate the conversation on mental health in their spaces.
